U.S. should remain non-interference in On the South China Sea

Although Southeast Asian countries to the United States have cheered every intervention, but the United States should resist the temptation to avoid excessive interference. In the South China Sea issue, the attitude of non-interference policy has been the main guiding principles of the United States, the United States should continue to maintain this attitude.
Resource disputes has always been complex, and is unlikely by the high-profile statement or the multilateral summit held be resolved. Conversely, in order to make progress, we need to take a two-pronged approach, side of secret diplomacy, while that one or more claim to sovereignty over the country from time to time to show what strength. In fact, in the past 30 years, the Chinese way to resolve all conflicts is rather encouraging: since 1979, China has never been large-scale use of force to the earth.
Confusion is not necessary to dispute these into wider regional or global system to solve. First, we must engage in dialogue. The United States in Southeast Asia to cooperate actively with China, such as the fight against piracy or terrorism – two things of vital sea routes pose a real threat – the two countries will help strengthen trust in the security field, and currently the two countries in this area is extremely lack of trust. Such cooperation will dispel the doubts of the countries in the region, the region that they will not become a major new battleground state contest.
Admittedly, the U.S. must retain “big stick”, but in fact there are many things that need a flexible and pragmatic quiet diplomacy “moderate tone” to solve them. In order to avoid further escalation of tensions between the current actual violence, the United States should avoid making new commitments, such as strengthening the sovereignty of Vietnam or other requirements of the country’s defense relationship.
